VIPC -Edwin was proud to be appointed a Judge at the inaugural Venice International Photo Art competition – this prestige’s panel included Marco Pinna from National Geographic [Italy].Edwin has also been very busy in conjunction with Federico Poggi and Emanuele Tozzato in producing an international exhibition of some of my works.

Venues around the World include: Venice, Cairo, Alexandria, Las Vegas, Los Angeles. Precise dates of when the exhibition will be touring to be up-dated soon.

X Ray Magazine – In the spring of 2005 Edwin was very proud and pleased to be appointed associate editor of X Ray. With a Worldwide readership of 70’000 and covering latest news to in-depth subjects such as technical equipment, shipwrecks, and travel articles. He is writing a regular article called SharkTales and play a part in the development and structure of the magazine.

Hasselblad Austrian Super Circuit – Edwin was the proud recipient of a Gold and Silver medal at the prestige’s 13th Hasselblad Classic Austrian Super Circuit – for two images of Great White Sharks – from a strongly contested field of entrants.

International Photo Art – an image of a Great White Shark swimming directly at camera – mouth open was awarded a highly commended.

Sport Diver / Project Aware 2003 – Placing second in the film/professional section behind Tony White. With a black and white image of a Great White Shark – shot from the sea floor with out the protection and constraints of a cage.

July 25th 2002; Edwin was humbled and privileged to became one of only a handful of people in the World, in South African waters to photograph a Great White Shark from the sea floor.

It was a great honour for him to dive and interact with three Great White Sharks the largest measuring up to five metres for 36 minuets.

This allowed him to see this magnificent animal from a new perspective and vantage point.
